The first hair product my husband stole

I’m extremely picky about hair products because my hair is naturally very straight, very fine, and somehow manages to fall flat approximately 14 seconds after styling it. I am also very low-maintenance so I go for products that don’t require a lot of effort or time.

So when I say I’m obsessed with the Crown Affair Texturizing Air Dry Mousse… I mean it.

First: it smells so good. Clean, elevated, expensive-in-a-subtle-way good. Not overpowering. Just the kind of scent that makes your hair feel fresh and put together. Using it also eliminates the need for perfume.

Second: it somehow gives volume without making your hair feel crunchy, sticky, or coated in product. This is usually where mousses lose me. I want body, not 2004 dance recital curls.

I use a few pumps on damp hair, mostly around my roots and mid-lengths, and it gives my straight hair that effortless, soft volume that makes it look like I actually know how to do my hair.

The biggest endorsement, though? My husband started secretly using it. In the first week of using it, he received compliments from 3 different people. One of them was the stylist that he works with on set. That’s legit.

So apparently Crown Affair mousse is now a shared household product.

If you have fine or straight hair and want that “healthy, effortless, cool person hair” look without feeling like there’s product sitting in your hair all day… this one is genuinely worth it.
